  3. Change of board Dirkzwager 7 July 2020

Arnhem/Nijmegen, 7 July 2020 – On 15 August Iman Stratenus will be joining Dirkzwager legal & tax as professional director. He succeeds Cécile Schobben in this position. In addition, lawyer and partner Ernst-Jan van de Pas joined the board on 1 July.

Stratenus (49) has more than 24 years of experience in managing and advising companies and organisations. He was a lawyer at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, consultant at McKinsey & Company, general manager for TNT Express and International SOS in Asia and director of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. In his role as partner at The Future Firm, Stratenus led and advised organisations in complex transformations. He is an expert in the combination of strategic and (organisational) cultural aspects of change processes. He is specialised in building 'learning' organisations and in decision-making within large groups of stakeholders.

Stratenus: “Dirkzwager is in an excellent position to develop further in the coming period. It is the fastest growing firm in the Netherlands with a solid foundation of quality and a positive culture: I have every confidence that we can tackle the challenging times ahead. I am delighted to be returning to the legal world and this appointment at Dirkzwager is a real honour."

The appointment of Ernst-Jan van de Pas (39) fills the position on the board that will become vacant at the end of Claudia van der Most's term as board member on 1 July. As a lawyer and partner at Dirkzwager, Van der Most will once again focus entirely on her (international) corporate law practice.

Van de Pas: “Dirkzwager has undergone a major transformation in recent years. We are growing fast, which of course also brings challenges. My legal work focuses on technology, IT and innovation. These are all highly volatile areas that require you to constantly adapt in order to remain relevant, to be able to keep delivering added value. The same applies to legal service providers in a broader sense. Whether you're a lawyer, civil-law notary or tax consultant, we have to remain relevant – and that means we have to keep adapting and innovating. And innovation doesn’t just happen. I am honoured that my fellow partners are giving me the opportunity to take this great firm one step further in the years to come.”

Iman Stratenus and Ernst-Jan van de Pas join Selma van Ramele and Tom Vandeginste to form the Executive Board. As a result, the Dirkzwager board is now at full strength to continue developing its ambitious and forward-looking policy.
