On 29 March 2019 the United Kingdom (UK) will leave the EU, as the situation currently stands, without a deal and without a transition period. This hard Brexit will have far-reaching consequences for the economic relations between the Netherlands and the UK. Whether this situation will actually arise remains to be seen: maybe the British will pull a rabbit out of their bowler hat before that date or the EU will extend the Brexit’s time limit. At least one thing is clear at the moment, which is that nothing is clear yet.

Dirkzwager’s Brexit team keeps a close eye on the developments. Specialists from different disciplines work closely together in order to be able to answer your questions and advise you on the consequences of the Brexit. For the time being, we proceed on the basis of a hard Brexit on 29 March, in our blogs you will find the most relevant consequences listed by subject.

If you would like to know more, please contact our team or your designated contact at Dirkzwager. We would be happy to be of assistance to you.
