Thijmen van Hoorn has been working as a attorney at Dirkzwager since 2022 in the department of Intellectual Property, IT & Privacy. His focus is on IT law and privacy law. In his daily practice, Thijmen is involved in drafting contracts like processor agreements and complex IT cooperation agreements, as well as advising on IT infrastructure and privacy policies. Furthermore, he assists his clients in litigation surrounding, for example, data breaches or failure of automation projects.
With in-depth knowledge of IT and privacy law, Thijmen helps companies and (semi-)governmental institutions to be compliant and minimize their legal risks. In addition, he prepares organizations for new legislation in the areas of AI, data and cyber. Thijmen also informs his clients on the latest developments and opportunities in new technology.
Thijmen obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees in Dutch law at the Radboud University. In his studies, he focused on the interfaces between law, technology and robotics. During his studies, Thijmen worked a part-time job as a legal assistent at Dirkzwager.
