Biography
Hanna has been a lawyer since 1987 and works as a lawyer and partner in the Government & Property department. Hanna is the in-house point of contact in relation to Expropriation & the Municipalities (Preferential Rights) Act. As well as expropriation, her specialisms are government liability in the broad sense (unlawful government act, lawful government act/compensation for loss resulting from administrative acts and loss resulting from government planning decisions), lease and obligations to tolerate (Public Works (Removal of Impediments in Private Law) Act and the Water Act). Hanna advises and supports authorities in drawing up an 'expropriation-proof' zoning plan, in administrative expropriation proceedings and in the legal proceedings stage. As well as public authorities, Hanna also assists land owners who are faced with the expropriation of their business site or who otherwise suffer losses as a result of government acts. Hanna works in expropriation practice together with Joske Hagelaars, forming the 'expropriation team' at Dirkzwager.

Hanna has been a member of the Dutch Association of Expropriation Lawyers (Vereniging van Onteigeningsadvocaten or VOA) for many years and has also been the Chair; she is also the Deputy Chair of the Committee for compensation for losses resulting from administrative acts and government planning decisions of the municipality of Arnhem.
