Biography

Tessa has been a lawyer at Dirkzwager in the Government and Real Estate section since January 2020. She specialises in environmental law, dealing with both spatial planning and environmental law. She litigates and advises on zoning plans and environmental permits, but also on issues relating to (waste) water, nature, ZZS and (non-)waste. Her clients include municipalities, developers (e.g. of renewable energy projects), utilities and (industrial) companies. Tessa has a proactive and committed attitude and values good communication and unburdening her clients. She has an eye for detail and is result-oriented.

Tessa is a member of the Environmental Law Association. She also writes annotations and is a lecturer at a knowledge institution.

  • Various proceedings on solar park projects for various international developers;

  • Advising and litigating for medium-sized Dutch municipalities on various wind farm projects;

  • Advising a large Dutch municipality and a medium-sized Dutch municipality on urban wastewater issues;

  • Litigating for a medium-sized Dutch municipality on PFAS in water.

  • Advising on municipal duties of care (including for rainwater and groundwater)

  • Advising various companies in the recycling and pharmaceutical industry on waste, ZZS, end-of-waste status, animal by-products;

  • Advising a water board on the Water Framework Directive in the context of a dyke reinforcement project;

  • Advising companies and a government client on ZZS and end-of-waste status;

  • Conducting zoning proceedings on a designation as a 'characteristic object'.

  • Proceedings on zoning and environmental permits for public authorities and developers.

  • Proceedings on enforcement of spatial or environmental regulations.
