Before Duncan joined Dirkzwager as a lawyer after studying Constitutional and Administrative Law, he gained experience in the field of internationaal public law at various international organisations. Since August 2024, Duncan has been practising environmental law as a lawyer on a daily basis, advising and representing governments, companies and developers in proceedings. Besides environmental law, Duncan also has experience in administrative law matters, such as the Open Government Act, inter-governmental cooperation as well as administrative enforcement. For instance, he has conducted extensive research into house closures under section 13b of the Opium Act.
